The Nursing Students of Ontario (NSO) is a student governed association that is a provincial interest group of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) and is a provincial non-profit group. For many years, NSO has proudly represented nursing students from all over Ontario, promoting nursing, addressing health policies and issues that are student related, and empowering and supporting full participation of nursing students in Ontario to act as one unified voice.

With over 2,000 student members and over 24,000 RNAO members, NSO/RNAO allows for the opportunity to interact with other nursing students in Ontario as well as interact with registered nurses within the profession. Annually, NSO holds a Student Summit in which members can interact with the NSO executives as well as nursing students from all over Ontario.
